Career is the apex for a student. Career planning is a life long process. It is an exciting process of finding your ideal career, based upon your intrinsic interests, motivational traits, personal work style, personality, values, skills, and aptitudes. It makes bright future of a student and helps in choosing an occupation, getting a job, growing in job, possibly changing careers, and eventually retiring. You can easily have years to go by without exploring your potential for success. Surveys typically indicate that a large percentage of people do not enjoy their work. Students often decide upon a major without fully exploring the most rewarding options. Studies show people who are working in a career that supports their intrinsic interests are happier and more successful and fulfilled.

Vocational educational aims to develop skilled manpower through diversified courses to meet the requirements of mainly the unorganized sector and to instill self-employment skills in people through the large number of self employment oriented courses. In vocational education at times there is a mismatch between the skilled manpower required and skilled manpower available.
